Pest id help needed: Tiny black insects

I found these teeny, tiny, pests on my Angraecum.
Sorry for the poor picture quality. I do not have a macro lens and these guys really need one to show up clearly. I have sprayed the plant this morning with soapy water. I would like an accurate id in order to treat appropriately. The plant has a couple of spikes beginning to form and I do not want them to be damaged.

Edit: You can see in the picture they are a glossy black color indicated by the flash glare on the insect's upper side.

Soil mites...they aren't harmful and don't need to be treated. They eat only decaying matter so they are no risk to the plant but they could be an indicator that it's time to repot. Seeing them doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem but if you haven't repotted in awhile...check and make sure your mix isn't getting past it's prime.

BTW - my plants spend a portion of the year outside and even w/fresh mix I sometimes find these. I don't worry about them unless I see the populations getting too high and then it's time to repot w/fresh medium.

Very likely Katrina is right, although there are species of Springtails that look very similar. They're also harmless detritivores, and require no treatment either.

Thank you. I have added a few more pictures to the original post showing the plant and how the insects are moving about on the plant. The plant is outside and it has been rainy, so maybe they decided to leave the bark. I will check on the mix as it was repotted last year.

Definitely mites. 4 legs per side of the body.

I've got these in my orchids also and they don't seem to do any harm. I've put a pinguicula primulifflora in each tank and they are perfect food for the pings. The adventurous little bugs seem very attracted to the always moist ping media, I feel kind of sorry for them when they get stuck and slowly dissolve.
