Default Help with pest ID

Ok.. I don't know if i would be able to capture the insects in a photo cause they are very very very tiny that's why I didn't even bother so hopefully someone can ID it by me describing it. It has a beetle like shape, black, somewhat iridescent sheen, very tiny and looks very similar to chia seeds! they are crawling all over one of my catts roots but at the same time I don't see any damage to the roots or slimy residue or nibble marks and they are only on the roots and nothing on the leaves or stems or sheath. I am just praying that they are not a spider mite species cause I had nightmares dealing with them! Thanks in advance guys!
