Help with pest ID
Ok.. I don't know if i would be able to capture the insects in a photo cause they are very very very tiny that's why I didn't even bother so hopefully someone can ID it by me describing it. It has a beetle like shape, black, somewhat iridescent sheen, very tiny and looks very similar to chia seeds! they are crawling all over one of my catts roots but at the same time I don't see any damage to the roots or slimy residue or nibble marks and they are only on the roots and nothing on the leaves or stems or sheath. I am just praying that they are not a spider mite species cause I had nightmares dealing with them! Thanks in advance guys!

Check out disease and pest section at North Jersey OS website and see if you can identify from the pictures
Orchid Resources | North Jersey Orchid Society
Scroll down on the page to look for the disease and pests section.

I'd assume it's likely aphids or flea beetles, but I'm not quite sure on the flea beetles since you've seen no evidence of the plant leaves being chewed on. Flea beetle larvae will eat a plant's roots, but the adults do not. I've found that an identifier for flea beetles is their tendency to jump when you mess with them (hence the name "flea"), so stick a finger down in there and nudge them around to see if they jump.

I was getting worried cause they were multiplying quite fast but no noticeable damage to the plant bit did not want to take it lightly so i sprayed neem oil on it for three straight days and they dissapeared..

They were probably just soil mites and I've been told they won't hurt the plant. Either way, they're gone now so the reason for stress is gone as well.
