Default little flying bugs

Hello there ok all of a sudden i have these very small flying insects all over my Orchids. saw some around one of them now almost all are infected. bugs seem to hangout on bottom of leafes and in the moss covering. any ideas and cures ??

nevermind i found the pest link looks like fungus gnats. i will follow instructions to remove.

ok hello again , cant find or figure out what will work, i checked most of the chemicals listed too treat , and i cant find them for sale and some are banned in usa etc... any suggestions

You can use some of those sticky kinda fly traps that you can hang a little portion of it beside the your orchids, and the fungus gnats will stick to them.

These most often show up when you have deteriorating mix in your orchids, as that it where they live. Check your plants and see if some are in need of repotting. They will not harm the plants but are a nuisance, especially if your collection is in the house. Hanging the sticky bug strips where your plants are will help trap them, but it will not get to the root of the problem.

i've got a few cape sundew plants around the house and one near my orchids, seems to be less fungus gnats about.

Hello there, Well ive repotted the 2 worst pest infected plants, so far so good media appeared somewhat old and mushy so repot was needed,.
funny i do have several carnivorous plant terrariums near my orchids but i guess ill need too put some plants in the open too catch more of the pests. thanks for all the help , great community here

Pinguiculas are quite good in catching those pesky flying gnats. And they have lovely blooms too

Hi there Nice plants those pings.,, i think i will get a couple of these too put by my plants , they will make a nice addition too my carnivorous plant collection as well. many thanks
