Disease? Bugs? Neglect and sunburn?

I have an Epicyclia Serena O'Neil (Epi. floribunda x Encyclia cordigera) that I have neglected for some years now. Each year it has given me blooms, growing in size. I have just taken it from its pitiful pot and placed it on a log cut from an old Oak tree. It has since spiked, however I am concerned with the appearance of the leaves, which have apparently been this way for a while.

Any suggestions?
Disease? Bugs? Negligence/Sunburn?

Could be all, but it must not be to unhappy as it has given you blooms every year. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in. Some of your pictures are small and hard to see.

I changed out some of the photos for better view. Thank you, Shannon, for taking the time to reply and let me know the pictures were a bit hard to see. I am new to this board- well, forum posting all together, so I appreciate it. I am seeing this black spotting on just about every one of my orchids I have repotted in the last couple weeks.

Looks mostly like physical damage. If it offends you, cut off the leaf at the base but I would just trim the tips with a sterile razor blade and let it go otherwise. With love and care, it will eventually grow out of these old bulbs/leaves.

The appearance is not what bothers me; it is the uncertainty of what caused it or if there are steps I should take to avoid further or worse damage. It is flowering year after year and gives new growth, but I have neglected it for the past few years or so.

I suggest that you start a new thread, so that people notice your post. The last activity on this thread was in 2015. And include a photo if possible, a lot easier to diagnose from a photo than a short description.
