My brassa Rex has some sort of rot obviously and Im not sure if the new growth will survive if I cut off the rotting pbulb... Any advice is greatly appreciated
No guarantees, but slice the rotting growth off between the base of the rotting bulb and the new growth and remove the rotten bulb. If there is black on both sides of the cut, there is no hope for the new growth as black rot has progressed to it. If not on the new growth rizome, sprinkle cinnamon on the open cut and hope.

I would like to add a comment to the great advice that Cym Lady posted. As cinnamon is a desiccant and will dry out new root tips, be careful you do not get any on the new, emerging roots. They will stop growing and die off as they will not take up water.
Cinnamon is good to use, but it really it pretty powerful stuff - use some care where it goes!
It was too late I should have addressed it much sooner but we were in the process of moving and I put it off. Lesson learned <\3 Thanks for the advice tho, at least I'll know what to do next time and know to do so IMMEDIATELY
