I ordered a few plants from Andy's, and have quite the multitude of creepy crawlies. Is anyone familiar with these? I have no experience with this critter.

Any help / ideas on the best course of action as far as getting rid of them would be helpful. These little buggers are quick!

you should send those photos to Andy's as they probably have a solution if its an infestation.

I did shoot an e-mail out after I posted! Hopefully someone knows. Giving me the heebie-jeebies! I much prefer the slow pests. Ick.

So Andy got back to me lightning fast to say this was some sort of little bark beetle type guy.

Apparently you can flush them out easily (as I noticed when I tried to water the newly acquired plants) - and then spot spray carefully around the edges with something like raid to knock them right out.

The bugs themselves are not harmful to the orchids (just gross imo).

Wanted to post this in case anyone else has a nasty little surprise.

Nothing but great things to say about Andy's, though I know none of you all are surprised. My first order, but what a great response re. these little critters.

They do have great plants. I have done several orders from them now and will probably do another very soon.
