Hi, I have a miniature Encyclia cordigera, and I give it a full winter rest; watering a bit every 3-4 weeks, no fertilizer, and
misting a bit if the pseudobulbs are starting to shrivel. I've read, that in their natural habitat the rainfall is very limited at this time of the year, and the plants just get moisture from heavy dews. I see no progress in root growth in mine since December, so I guess it wants to rest. If your leaf problem is due to water issues, I hope this helps. Good luck, may it grow well!
