Default Root discoloration

My go to place for discounted orchids is King Scoopers and so I got two for $2 each. I was looking closely at the roots and there was one the had an area colored red/pink. The red of the root is green? Anybody has advice on what to do or what it is?Root discoloration-imageuploadedbytapatalk1422709029-629509-jpg

It looks like something had spilled on the plant in that area. I think it might have been awhile back as the one root looks dead and dried. I guess you could rinse the water through that area when watering to make sure that whatever it was is rinsed out. Just my guess.

Could be but these don't look like the tips, more like the sides and just in a small area. It looks white around the pink and the other part of a root dried up. Maybe there are other areas not seen with pink tips. I know some phals get pink /red tints, but it looks like just in a small almost circular area from the picture.

Sorry for my late reply, it's not the end of the root, it's more of a bend and where it is pink there is another off shoot of a root. My pictures doesn't really show that 😞 the plant itself is really healthy. I have looked at the root ends and they are not pinkish/ red which worried me. This was bought at a grocery store what it may be that something pink or red was spilt on it.
