Exclamation Black spots and other problems

I recently did a skim over my plants and the results were not good.

Here are a lot of pictures, thanks for your time.

There are lots of black spots, just on the undersides of two the leaves of this bulbo.

I'm not sure what this is on this dendrobium, it is just one leaf.

There are also little black dots on this plant.

Here is one paph. leaf:

This paph has some spots too:

As well as these phrags:

Is this a virus?

And this cattleya:

All of these pants are growing just fine. Also, I flame sterilize my tools before doing any trimming.

Thanks again.

That Catt leaf looks just like the leaf of one I got that had a mite infestation.

I have some mites and this is also the result. They are a pain. I am waiting until the weather warms so I can get rid of the problem when I put the plants outside.

They are not all affected by the same cause.
First two look rather benign. Unless it gets worse, I don't think it'll do much.
Plus, certain plants seem to have this as part of themselves. I'm not very familiar with bulbo. I only have one mini and it does not have any tiny black spots.

Dendrobium looks like it's got light burn. Do you grow this under very high light? If not, then it's obviously something else.

Paph leaf...browning part is a leaf rot. I would cut that big chunk off. Usually the end of it.
The strangely indented area is not related to the rot, but rather of different issue.
I have posted this before but no one was able to help. just many different guesses. lol
So far, I have found this indentation on the leaves harmless.

Phrag leaf- I assume the two pictures are of the same leaf only time lapsed? It's a bacterial brown rot. Unless it is getting bigger, it looks like it pretty much dried up on its own. I would seal up that spot with clear nail polish or something in case it continues to serve as a point of future disease spread.
Yellowing plant, check the roots. Probably gone.
The rest looks like mite or virus or various other issues.
The last one, are those black area elevated??
I see that quite often on cattleyas. seems like just ugly "skin" issues rather than disease.

My opinions so far.

Thank you all so much for your time and advice.

NYC, I'll take your advice and trim that leaf.

I think I will move the phrag with the weird mottled leaves and focus on it with some homemade mite-killer. I'll give the others a spray and watch for the next couple weeks.

My opinion, not based on knowledge, only observation...
Not so sure the browning is leaf rot. I have a multi with the same sort of browning that appeared about 2 years ago. I've treated it with numerous potions and it has never grown worse or grown more on the leaf. The leaf is still rigid and if it was a rot/ fungal infection I would expect the leaf to start drooping and the brown area to grow further onto the leaf. I figure the leaf got some sunburn.
I'm told by one one the better paph growers in the OS I attend the indentations on the leaf are cell collapse caused by the leaf not getting enough water when in it's growing stage. Sort of like the oncidium issues with pleated leaves. Could be not enough moisture in mix, not enough roots to support leaf growth. They don't seem to affect the plant and won't go away.

JKeys, I have the same sort of spotting issue on a couple of my phrags at the leaf ends and I'm curious what the consensus will be. I've thought it to be lack of humidity where I was growing them or too much fertilizer when I water. Phrags seem to be like Masdies in that they do much better when you don't feed them much.

Bill - That is what I've heard regarding phrags, I'm pretty sure my tap water is clean but I have been considering switching to rainwater for sometime.

Thanks for the advice on that paph. A while ago I transferred it to all sphag because it didn't seem to be getting sufficient moisture, and it seems to be doing much better now, actively rooting and sending out a couple new fans. I'll monitor it and if it seems to grow then the leaf will go.

Not enough water causing the indentation on the paph leaf is one of the things suggested when I posted a thread regarding that physical issue.
I still am not sure because I have dried some paphs and all they did was going limp just like vegetables or plants in general do when dehydrated enough.

The browning of the paph in this photo is not the naturally dying sort of thing given the way it appears.
The owner will have to watch how it progress.
My take based on my observation, is that it will increase unless trimmed off.
It will not be good once that reaches the base.
I have struggled with one complex paph that kept showing this browning and eventually I tossed it after about two years having it. Enough was enough, and I have better paphs that I can concentrate my energy one.
