Does this Cattleya look sick?
Default Is his Cattleya sick?

I bought it about a year and a half ago. It has never bloomed and recently developed this yellowing on some of its leaves, is this normal or is something terribly wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help.

It might be staying a little too wet. Let the media get very dry before watering. While I'm waiting for the media to dry out, I often mist any visible roots or aerial roots to make sure the plant is getting enough moisture. In the future, I would suggest using larger chunks of media in the basket to promote faster drying. Good luck.

Thought the basket looked a bit too large altho a larger bark would help it dry quicker as tucker85 mentioned and great advice. Good luck!

Thank you Tucker and DeaC! I will take all of it to heart and hand and check her out totally!

I did buy it in bloom about a uer and a half ago.

I looked through my old photos and found it. But either I lost the tag or it did not have one, not sure. It has never bloomed again .

Hoping this will help with additional diagnoses

I so want to see her bloom again!
