My boyfriend didn't know any better, he was doing it for me ❤️ he was upset when I broke the news to him bc he felt that he was taken advantage of.

technically he was taken advantage of since the people knowingly sold cold damaged plants. It is possible to save cold damaged orchids, but it all depends on how much damage was done. I wish I could give you more info on what to do, it's hard to judge their current states by photo's alone, so just do what others have said and keep them comfy and dry :(

I agree, your bf was taken advantage of and the seller should have known better than to leave them in an unheated garage.

If the roots are still healthy and firm, keep them lightly moist -- perhaps loosely wrap a papertowel around them and mist the towel once or twice a day.

While there may be a chance of one or more pulling through, like Rj, I would not expect any of them to make it.

Maybe you could update us and take some better pictures. Maybe in better light... Or If you use flickr or photobucket the pictures come out real crisp...

That will give us a better idea of how the plants are doing now.

I will work on getting a photobucket account tonight at work. I had to toss the Vanda-like and phalaenopsis orchid, they were completely mushy. The paphliopedilum, oncidium-like, little dendrobium, and this other type orchid mmmaaayyy pull through. I will post pics as soon as that account is created.

#4 looks like a phal and #6 is a type of bulbophyllum.

Oh my, I know this has been asked a million gagillion times but how do you post from Photobucket? I tried to look for a thread that will have the answer and I can't.

You can wait & see but I tend to agree with RJSquirrel.

Maybe I'm old fashioned (or just old) but this sort of thing happening on Craig's List doesn't surprise me. I barely trust Ebay, and then only vendors that have a sterling repitation. You can try asking for a refund, but don't expect too much. Good luck.

It will be a learning experience for me if I can try to revive them, I won't keep my expectations high at all. I did email the sellers that I was disappointed that they would sell frozen orchids to my boyfriend and they said, "What did you expect for $15?" It wasn't too big of a deal, I didn't want a refund, I don't want to see this couple after what they did, however I did want them to know what they did was not right.
I want to post more pictures but I have read in another thread that I have to have 5 posts before my pictures will show of posted from a picture sharing site such as photobucket :( sooooo you may see some more posts very soon and I apologize in advance for poor quality pictures. After the next four posts they will be much better.
