Yellow Rust looking spots on paph.

Hello everyone, I got this paph about 3 weeks ago it had one flower open an a second in bud. after a week the second bud open, the plants lost one fan and soon after both buds.

When I bought the plant I notice it had small yellow spots on 3 fans, I mention my concern about the spots to the seller and pointed them out, but he he said that it was no big deal. I have bought many plants from him and he actually has very good healthy plants. He is one of the people I buy most of my plants from.

Once the plant started to loose fans I sent him a picture of the plant and when the top two fans started to go, I send him another pictures of the plant before I trashed it. Hes reply was to just trash it and that he would replace it with another wealthy one.

Still he could not tell me what it was killing the plant.
Some of the roots were rotted, but it had what appear to be healthy roots. Although this was my first time seen this kind of roots. They felt firm and had what appear small fuzzy hairs on them (don't know if that is normal for this type of orchid).

I have pictures of before and after, I am just curious to know what this could be. I have very healthy plants and this is the first time I see this type of yellow marks and because I could not find what it was I got rid off the the plant. I also don't think the plant was going to make it anyways.

So any ideas?
