I know you want to go organic, but there is no way in hell I would let mealy bugs deprive me of the enjoyment I get from my orchids! I use Orthene Wettable powder, available on line. Take your plants outside, give them a good spraying and then again 7 days later. I use from 1 -2 teaspoons per gallon of water, depending on the pest. Orthene in that form is safe for orchids and is also a systemic. Hopefully the weather is such that you can leave the plants out for about 10 days.

Mealies hide down in the potting media, soooo you've got to get them down there.

Repot, wash and spray entire plant, repot. I seem to have very little problem with the mealies in S/H culture. Maybe they don't like it down there in the cool and the wet. My regime is to unpot, wash plant, removing all media, physically remove any pests, spray with Fantastik Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner, rinse plant after 5 mins, pot in S/H, water well. Seems to work.

Fantastik Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner question.
Did you spray on the entire plant or just the leafs? TIA!

I just received my dendrobium morniliforme today and after open the package I find one mealybug on the leaf of one plant. I check all another plants that at the same package and none of them have. Should I unpot all of them and use Fantastik Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner to clean the plant?
