Spots on leaves. Virus or Not?

I have a Brassia which just bloomed that has developed yellow and black spots on the underside of it's leaves. I noticed a few of the older leaves with some spotting but now the new growth has it too! I have looked at some of the articles posted and have visited a few websites but still don't really know what is going on. Some say virus but others have said that it may not be. So I don't know if I should destroy it or what. I also have a cattelya with spotting on the tops of the leaves.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post pics? My first conclusion is no, it's not a virus. I have several Brassias and Brassia intergenerics that seem to exhibit brown spots almost like freckles. At first I thought it was due to spraying (misting) because these 'chids are notorious for spotting on the leaves if you spray them, but I don't spray. It doesn't seem to hurt them, so I don't think there's anything to worry about, but perhaps someone here has more specific info than I?

If they were just black spots, I might think the leaves got wet...Brassias don't like that
With the spots being yellow, it leads me to think it's "something" more than that. I would spray it well with Listerine (the regular brown stuff, not the minty), quarantine it and see if there's any improvment.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am thinking that maybe the brown spots on the catt may be from being wet because the spots do not seem to be appearing on any new growth. At least yet. I also noticed right after posting that my oncidium has the same spotting on it's leaves as the Brassia except not as bad and primarily brown spotting not so much yellow.

I don't recall ever seeing a Brassia without spots!

Yes, too small. I usually shoot for 600 pixels long side of image.

Try doing this after resizing rather than inserting a photo:

It will open up to a full size pic
