Good air circulation should be able to prevent any need for Physan use more than 1 or 2x per year.

Just a quick update. I noticed that the leaf tip damage continued to spread despite me raising the lights very far away from the plants. I had to snip some more leaves...which is very frustrating.

Could this be Cal, Mg deficiency?? my new cattleyas aren't showing this damage even though they get the same amount of light.

I use RO water and regularly flush the pots. My fertilizer is complete with these nutrients but I only fertilize at 1/4 strength once a week. With this in mind would you all still fertilize with cal mg too?

It could be. Ca and Mg are important to plants.

You should use CalMag with most of your waterings. Its pretty tough to OD with these, so its better to err on the side of overuse rather than underuse. That being said, I don't think your plants look like they are suffering from Ca/Mg deficiency.
