Just wanted to give you folks an update and thank you all for the advice you have given my Vanda. She is doing much better, although not sure what the initial problem was. My guessing diagnosis was mites and bacterial/fungal infection.
Per OB's members suggestions: I treated the plant and basket with Bayer 3 in 1 for the mites. The following week-end I sprayed with Cleary's fungicide and saw new root growth within 4 days after treatment. I water well for about 10 minutes every other day. NC recently had 4 inches in one night!
I then soaked the roots in KelpMax for about 2 hours. Since then I have been fertilizing almost every watering with very, very weak MSU.
