I've tried writing my own reply, but really Terry has said what I want to say.

I personally try and limit my use of synthetic/systemic treatments, but I also have some skepticism about so called 'organic' treatments including their effectiveness and their environmental effects

If we ask the questions we should be respectful of the suggestions offered, even if we decide to go another way.
