Thumbs up long legged green flies

these r beneficial insects in case you have some. they are predators of the smaller insects and do not harm your garden or orchids. I have lots of these crazy lookin big headed flies. FYI

according to TAMU they make cocoons out of mud and soil. so if you find some little dirt turd looking items laying in yer pots they might be 'Long Legged Big Heads.

only in Texas do they have long legged big headed flies...

deer flies and horse flies are a different genus and are known to be a pest to animals and humans. Their bite can be painful and infectious. The green flies are no bother to the human or animal populations.

The deer fly has green eyes but no fluorescing green body. You know a horse fly bec they are the size of a small govt drone
