With our strong sunlight, here in Florida, I've managed to burn my share of orchids. The light tan color is characteristic of sunburn and not anything else that I know of, but your right, the circles aren't normally on a sunburned leaf. I would guess maybe sunburn with something else going on with the leaf as well. That's just my guess.
