Many Ctsm tend to be very sappy...both the leaves and the spikes. And, yes, it can be quite sticky.

Some get so sticky that the back of the leaves will develop a sooty mold type issue if they aren't washed off regularly.

Thank you for the advice! I will keep an eye on it. I have a mormode developing that is developing the sugar beads like crazy at 2.5 inches. I forget that some orchids do that.
