Black/brown edges near base of leaves

Does anyone know the cause and cure for these black/dark brown patches on the edge of the leaves. Not so much a problem on this plant, but will occasionally overwhelm a growth.

Looks like a Miltoniopsis?

The brown part, as long as it does not spread, you don't need to worry.

They could be some mild infection that was stopped by the plant, or some mechanical damaged that dried up dark.

Yes - Miltoniopsis - I agree, not too much problem on this plant, but this sometimes is not self-limiting and can damage the growth - mostly on emergent growths
