Post Pest treatment.
It's been 3 months exactly since I bought her from a nursery. This is Zoe. A Phalaenopsis. A month ago, she had a flat mites infestation which I could have recognized sooner but the nursery manager misled me. He said that it was nitrogen deficiency. And I wasted precious time trying to increase nitrogen in her diet while the mites infestation took the toll on Zoe. As I saw the extra nitrogen didn't seem to be helping her, I recognized it was an infestation and started treating her with dilute rubbing alcohol solution. (1 part of 10% alcohol, 3 parts clean and pure water) I used cotton dipped in this above mentioned solution and cleaned her leaves and stem. Later, I also read that neem oil is effective in protecting the leaves and treating mite infestations. So, I also applied neem oil. I have cleaned her with rubbing alcohol thrice in the past two weeks and once with neem oil. She started looking good and healthy. Suddenly, two days ago, two of her lower leaves started turning yellow very fast. Over the span of three days, two leaves have turned fully yellow. They turned yellow one by one and another one has started to turn yellow. Any suggestions on how to go about treating her further? I water her once a week. She has a place just near my window which faces south west. Any comments would be really helpful. Thank you so much in advance.
