Vanda/Renanthera Hybrid Issue
Not sure why this is happening all of a sudden, but my (relatively) new Vanda/Renanthera hybrid has started to yellow and lose a few of its lower leaves. I've grown several vandas before and I don't remember them doing this very often...
It's odd to be because the plant is growing new roots and new leaves at the top, which seems to suggest it's doing OK. I know they do drop leaves from time to time, but I'm not used to it doing this all at once. I'm hoping this isn't a cause for concern?
If anyone has any guidance here please let me know.

One of my vandas recently lost 3 at once while growing leaves and roots and has not lost any more for about 2 months now. I guess it wanted to drop them at once? Anyway sounds similar to what you are seeing and my plant is fine, but I was concerned at first!

Yeah I'm hoping that since it has active growth it's not serious.

'the lower leaves yellowing and falling off'=that usually happens if it is exposed to cold.... but you are in a warm humid grow zone=so better spray it with anti-bacteria /fungi infestation....the roots are not working properly and is not giving the plant what it needs....it is using the stored energy from the lower leaves to sustain it.

What kind of anti-bacterial/anti-fungal? All I have here is that Rose spray. I don't think that's going to work though.

It's been raining the last few days, but I have not seen anything that seems like thrip damage.

I've sprayed the roots the last two days with the Rose Spray, and it seems like the leaf drop has stopped for now. I'm going to apply this the next few days to make sure the problem is solved.

I'm once again having the same issue with this plant after about a month of it being OK. Not sure what else I can do, as the rose spray seems to have stopped working.
