Default snail attack

Hello, I have a couple of dendrobium nobile growing on a tree out the back that seem to be covered in baby snails.. As I can’t bring these inside or move them can anyone recommend a spray or the like to deter these little munchers?

Not sure what is available where you are.

I usually use slug pellets, those blue pellets that you can get anywhere here.

Hmm, no pellets won't really work then. Hope someone has some ideas for you.

I hear copper works as a deterrent. I don't know if you can get it over there but how about wrapping some of that cooper slug tape below the line where the orchid is attached. That would keep them from climbing up to the den. After you have that tape in place you could hose the plant down w/something that will kill the snails that are in the root mass. Maybe? That's about the only thing I would know to do.

I don't know what's available over there but this is the type of stuff I'm talking about...

The best snail killer that I've found is brewed black coffee mixed half and half with water. It can be used as a spray or dip.

Another home remedy super co friendly is to place sandpaper strips below and above the plant. Their soft bodies can't handle crawling over the roughness and they'll search for food elsewhere.
Try to find it in brown color so it doesn't stand out that much ruining the view
This works also in bench legs.

Or as Trdyl says, the coffee spray also works. I would only suggest adding 2 tablespoons of alcohol to prevent bacteria forming in the coffee mix.

Hope it helps!!
