Sunburn, rot, or disease?
Default Sunburn, rot, or disease?

I've been growing a smaller sized dendrobium for about two years now. I have had numerous flower spikes from the plant and decided to build an orchid basket to hang it outside.

However, after about a week-2 weeks, the leaves began to discolor and drop. I'm now only left with a few leaves on the top of each spire. I was wondering if anyone could tell me here what it looks like to you.

I live in SoCal, and have the plant on the western facing side of the house. If there's any other info that is needed from me, please let me know. Thanks!

Welcome to Orchid Board

It could be sunburn, I'm not sure. There are many types of Dendrobium, it's one of the biggest orchid Genera. Some like bright light, some don't.

Do you have a photo of it when it was flowering? Do the flowers grow on spikes with lots of flowers out of the top of the cane, or do the flowers grow on short spikes all down the sides?
