Phrag leaf dying or rotting? Male
Default Phrag leaf dying or rotting?

I just noticed this on one of my phrags. It looks like rot, but it is not mushy. It hasn't spread to any other leaves, but it seems to be moving at a good pace. Maybe it is a bruise? There is a distinct light brown/yellowish part and then outside of that a dark green part.

Thanks for the help.

I believe it's most likely erwinia. I would remove the leave and spray the plan and hopefully it doesn't spread.

Can someone give us a little more information about Erwinia. I have no experience with that disease. I have a Phrag that's doing the same thing.

It definitely looks like Erwina (bacterial soft rot). Cut the leaf off and spray with hydrogen peroxide & dust with cinnamon.

If it's Erwina it can spread fast, so act fast (as advised above).
