I was able to get then all off and have so far not seen any signs of them returning. Plant is still in quarantine. All my other plants are fine as well.
Your idea of keeping it in quarantine is good. The eggs are small and the bugs can get into the media and all - so it's impossible to just treat the ones you see.
If I may suggest - enjoy the flowers as much as you can now, and when it is done with the cycle, then you can re-pot and spray it and all. That will make sure it's eradicated.
I used rubbing Alcohol on Paph buds and it didn't harm the buds, but then there were hardly any mealies and I used a cotten bud soaked in alcohol to dab each mealy (or sign of fluff from one) and didn't get much on the flowers in the process.
Make sure and check again daily or every few days for several weeks. Mine came back after two or three weeks and I did the same again as soon as I saw the tiniest trace of them re-appear. They never came back after that, I think I got the second batch before they could bread.
