Default New bizarre spot on Brassevola glauca

Hey,

My Brassevola seems to be developing a strange unhealthy spot that seems to be expanding:

Any clue what it might be and what should I do about it?
Just chop off the leaf?

It could be viral. I have a couple catts that developed a reddish mottled coloring on the newer leaves. These areas are somewhat circular and the areas are somewhat irregular. I don't see any problem with the blooms. Unknown what it is. Sonya had a plant she threw away because it had a red ring around the rizome. I can't remember the name. Sonya.............?

James, the red ring around the rhizome is Fusarium.

Clusty, no idea what this discoloration might be, sorry.

Ok. I will chop all abnormal looking leafs and take it from there.
Thanks a lot for your input.

Btw, do viruses transmit from plants touching, or they need to be wounded ?.

This looks fungal. Probably some water sat for a long time at the base of the leaf and the infection started. Cut off the leaf and the top part of the pbulb, dust with cinnamon and hope it doesn't spread.
