Leaf Spots on Stanhopea, Please Help.

Hey there, attached are a couple pictures of the issues I'm running into with my Stanhopea assidensis. I just recently repotted it into a wooden basket as it had outgrown the 4" plastic basket it came in.

These are two separate leaves. The first occurred very recently and on a brand new pseudo bulb's leaf. The second occurred about a month ago on an older pseudo bulb's leaf and stopped on its own. Not even sure if they are the same thing.

The old joke goes that stanhopea flowers hang below the baskets because they are ashamed to be seen in the company of their leaves.

That is relieving to hear :-P At least I'm not the first to have this issue heh... I threw a little cinnamon paste on.

pic 2: check the underside for insects - just for safety reasons.
pic1: provide moving fresh air.

Never mist stanhopeas - water droplets will cause this localized rot. Enough of these spots will kill a leaf, but not the plant. I learned my lesson - now I water them from a squeeze bottle.

Thanks ALToronto, I will be sure that when misting some of the plants that need it especially in my bonsai collection that none gets on the leaves of the Stanhopea.
