Yea weederwoman, I'm like you, I don't think the miticide ingredient is systemic (the imacloprid is, yes, but not the miticide)... I don't remember what I read that makes me think that, so i could be wrong.. :dunno:

But, I do know that 3-n-1 will only CONTROL them, NOT eliminate them! Order some Tetrasan, that will get rid of you mite problem once, and for all!!!

If you can't find it in small quantities (2oz, it's cheaper), please let me know! (you don't need to spend any more than $30.. & that will go a long way). This stuff is worth using, because you actually eliminate them completely.. Heheheh... I hate those evil bastards! I had a bad infestation last summer :(( so, I'm always willing to help someone else kill them!

Thanks. I read that the mites mature fairly fast. Is it safe to use Bayer 3-in-1 on nepenthes. I know many people use it on orchids. Are you recommending two treatments over a two week period, or one treatment and then wait 2 weeks and search for any mites appearing after the two weeks, and if found, repeat?

I believe Bayer 3 in 1 has imidacloprid as it's effective ingredient. This is not a miticide and will not work. I've read that it can even encourage mites by killing off other bugs that would normally eat them and keep them under control. It needs to say miticide on the container.

I guess there was posting while I was mentioning the above. There may be miticide added to the Bayer 3 in 1 but the imidacloprid is not and it should say on the bottle if there is a miticide in it as well. Some people say Dendrobiums do not like imidacloprid but haven't heard anything else not doing well with it.

I have read that the miticide is not systemic also. An example is below.
