I used to have lots of horny toads around the cliffs at the beach when I was a kid. Alas the cliffs are now home to huge condos and mansions. In Ocean Beach near San Diego I had skinks in my yard. I had glasss skinks under my house and loved them to be in my green house. They dined on the white cabbage moths. I also had legless lizards too.

Okay the science/biology geek in me is coming out what the heck is a legless lizard?

Oh how sad, the mountain boomers, and horned toads are almost extinct around here due to kids messing with them and the poison being put out for their food sources.

Well I've yet to be able to take a pic of it. But will keep trying. It's just one of the hundreds, no thousands, we have around here

No. I would not be worried about this. Those small lizards are all insect eaters.

Although they could potentially lay eggs in orchid media, this is very unlikely to happen. The presence of the lizards is beneficial, nothing to be concerned about.

Here is a pic of the Green Anoles we have here in NC, on the Outer Banks.. He was stalking something on our Jasmine lattice/arbor

Here's a froggie that was hanging out on my truck, (after I got back from driving on the beach) I hosed off my truck, & he seemed to really like that! He was cute, not sure exactly what species tho... He was fairly small... Maybe close to the same size as the Green Tree frogs we get here.

I used to see a little lizard outside but not in years.

I grow indoors and wouldn't mind keeping a snake or lizard but I don't have enough pests and the reptiles won't eat kibble.
