Any treatment you give a plant, especially an orchid can take a long time to take affect. And a lot of the discoloration and damage is permenant. Keep it away from the other plants for a week or two. Good advice for any newcomer to your collection. Remember that there are many reasons for a plant to exhibit discoloration and marking which may or may not be disease related. Culture can affect it too. Environmental stress can also. If it is a reputable dealer/vendor, see if they will replace the plant.
