Dembrodium black leaf drop, help

I am very new to the orchid board. I love all genus of orchids. I have a problem with my Dembrodium. leaf drop an turning yellow to black. the dropped leaves are full and very firm as they should be its 1.5 years old, transplanted and split 2 weeks ago as it was quite huge. I used sterile tech an rubber gloves. its my favorite I have a pic in my gallery of the leaves. and I am not tech savy so i'll try to post a pic with this thread. please help this one was an anniversary gift 42 years so it has special meaning for me...... help since, I cut the black parts away the bulb part was turning black also, roots are beautiful no odor so I transplanted it and sprinkled cinnamon and watered lightly..............please help trying to save her........

What are her roots doing? Sounds like black rot. But without pictures I cant tell.

One thing is for certain though to be on the safe side...GET HER AWAY FROM ALL OTHER ORCHIDS, if it is black rot or something similar that stuff spreads like the plague.

I think you mean Dendrobium ? . . .

I looked at your gallery pic - that leaf seems large for a Dendrobium; are you sure it isn't something else?

A good picture (or several) of the whole plant would be useful, if possible. Is just this one leaf affected, or are there more turning black or yellow?

I transplanted it asap. used cinnamon and alcohol and new pot and mix. it has been sitting on the same tray with 10 others. I removed all parts that looked bad. roots are just like when I transplanted it 2 weeks ago. some of the stocks look brused dark circular areas so sorry for the type O. I mean Dendrobium./ per label. its the only one I have of its kind, of that genus to me it looks more like a cattelya. anyway can I save I should I try physan 20 or 27 any ideas. I'll put more pic in the gallery. any help please. I received this as anversary gift. rot how do I treat the rest ??????????

As long as it has not spread to the others they should be okay. If its black rot...I dont know if it is curable but could be very wrong

I did the first one is the new one correct? It does not look like black rot I dont think but I could be wrong. Possibly bacterial; you can try physan 20 to see if it could kill it or bayer 3 in 1 insect,mite,disease control. Also perhaps start feeding it calcium/magnesium supplement. I was suggested MagiCal by technaflora I have since learned that catts and schomburgkia type plants need the extra supplement. It also helps prevent disease and fungus. I really hope you can save her and others with better eyesight can help as well.

I am praying you are right, I have Natria by Bayer mite and fungal control I have Physan 20 and 27 I'll separate it from all others in a separate room or outside it for 3 weeks. I had put the Bayer on outside. is it best to keep it out side after the Bayer dries? its getting down to the 50's at night and 60-70 in the day time. what do you think? outside or in? this seemed to happen very fast. I was gone for 3 days. when I noticed it . do you have pics of black mold/crown rot, brown rot.
