whats up w my wildcat? Female
Default whats up w my wildcat?

Okay I started to notice my Calmonara wildcat leaves acting slightly nutty. It just got soaked in physan water per booklet instructions just in case. It gets soaked about every 2-3 days it gets bright but in direct sunlight everyday but I started to notice the leaves were beginning turn yellow and Spotting. Is it okay?

I know the phulbs are wrinkled that was b4 I got over my fear of drowning my orchids.

I will say so that the leaves that are changing color and spotting are on A older Phulb there is a new growth that has healthy new looking leaves

the plant was dehydrated for quite sometime by looking at the shriveling old pbulbs....do not over expose the new growth to physan20 it will affect its growth....you need a fungicide not physan20 by looking at the leaf tips....the plant is recovering by giving you a new baby

Okay great; I have bayer 3 in 1 would that work? Should I spray the plant or leave it be? What about the spotted leaves? Should I cut them or should I again leave it be?

Onc alliance can be prone to leaf spotting - especially the tips of oler leaves. If new growth looks pretty good, I'd just keep an eye on it.

It may be that the affected leaves are getting ready to be dropped. Is it bract foliage (leaves enveloping the pbulb), or leaves in top of pbulbs? Or both?

Only towards the tips of the leaves and the upper portion, never anything close to the actual phulbs, the new growths (found what looks like actually 2 growths) are all a light/medium olive green color, and the rest look okay, just wanted to make sure that this as not a fungus of some sort, i was even leaning towards leaf burn maybe...I had it in a SW facing window that got BRIGHT direct evening sun maybe even to much sun, so I moved it farther from the window to my dresser.

looks like 'oncidium spot' which is common on all plants of oncidium descent, and nothing to worry about.....some plants get it pretty rough, but still bloom well, and it doesn't seem to spread...its just what oncidiums do....sharry babies are just awful with that....a little more water would be appropriate, just make sure it drains well, and dries out between waterings....good luck
