I think its always a good reminder to look before buying especially at the big box stores who do not have a clue what they are doing.

I think they came that way from the vendor. They were new arrivals and the infestation is well established. I don't open the bag in the store and didn't notice it there. I will say my local Lowes does not take proper care of orchids, but this one isn't their fault
