I just got some orchids from a family member and a few look a little sick. This Phal has what I think is bacterial spot on the lower leaves. I have done baking soda wash, hydrogen peroxide, and cinnamon on the spots. The spots do not seem to be spreading but I was worried about the yellow streaks on the newest leaf. It might be too much light because it was in a pretty sunny location before I received it. Any help identifying this problem would be appreciated.
Phals and other orchids get odd colored spots and areas on their leaves often. The orchid, if it healthy, can take care of them. The biggest concern is how are the roots doing? Good roots, good healthy plant. It is planted in a pot that is too deep and too wide. It can stay in this pot but water it sparingly. Or repot into a smaller pot.
Thanks for the responses. The roots are very green and healthy but the plants did just move from south Florida to both Florida where I live and all were divided so they might be a little stressed.
