Masdevallia Minaret possible virus? Male
Default Masdevallia Minaret possible virus?

I think I may have a possible virus. I have been searching in books and the Internet to no avail. I bought this Masdevallia about 4 months ago. It has grown very well but even since it was purchased the newest growth seems stunted, compared to the oldest growth and has some colour break on the leaves. But the newest leaves seem thicker and sturdier so I thought this was do to light increase. I have kept on eye on it regardless, and today I noticed the newest leaf has strange metallic bars on it.
Culture is the same as my other masdies.

Mhmm I'd check for spidermites… get the cotton, the alcool (70°), rub all faces and if there's yellow-brown-reddish stains, you won.

May be thrips too, especially if each sucked up zone has a little black point in the middle.
