Yellow/brown leaves recently repotted Burr. Nelly Isler

I posted this as a follow-up to another thread, but I think it'll get seen more here, and the issues I'm having are really most relevant to this subforum. Apologies for the double-posting of information if you've seen it in S/H.

Backstory: Moved this plant to S/H when I got it on July 11. It had basically no new root growth, but I couldn't tell that for the substrate. It was soaked in kelp extract during root cleaning. Kept it warm and shaded after repotting. Misted it daily to provide an extra shot of humidity. P-bulbs started to shrink a bit, which I expected, but not too bad. Leaves looked good up until July 18, when I left town.

I in a shady place while I was away from July 18-25 because I didn't want it to get too taxed while (hopefully) growing new roots and didn't want the house-sitter to have to make decisions about it. It was warm and humid in the house (we have no AC and it was getting in the 90s that week). When I returned home, I noticed some leaf-tip browning and yellowing. I marked them to see if they're progressing, and some of them are.

I have been watering with either rainwater or DI, and fertilizing at half indicated strength with an orchid fertilizer, so I don't think it's a problem with salt buildup. Plus, I don't see any precipitate on the top LECA.

It's in a sunnier spot since I got home, next to an open window so it's now getting better airflow.

My questions are: 1) should I cut away the bad parts and dust the cuts with cinnamon?
2) Should I get something systemic to treat with?

Any advice is welcome. It also has a new 3 inch flower spike. The pseudobulbs are still slightly wrinkled, which I expected from its shift into S/H, not terribly, so it seems to be ok on getting water. Thanks in advance!

Old leaves and roots die out in early S/H method. New leaves and roots means it is getting used to the S/H environment. July 11th up to now is too early to ascertain if the plant is thriving to the S/H method.
The yellow rings on the leaves means the plant is fighting an infestation in your case it is fungi. Your instinct is correct= cut it off so it wont spread and infest the whole leaf.
Make sure your plants have the correct culture in terms of temperature, humidity and light. 90F indoors might be too hot for some orchids unless you have oscillating fans for proper air circulation. Just remember they were born in lab environment where they were being pampered.

Excellent! I'll trim it up with a flamed razor in the morning. It's not quite so hot anymore, thankfully. I'm quite heat tolerant being a desert transplant, but i gotta admit that 90 in the house is uncomfortable for everyone. I'll keep the fan suggestion in mind for the next time the mercury climbs. Thanks much for the advice!

Just wanted to update this thread. I trimmed up the leaves as suggested, and had no more yellowing or browning thereafter. My flower spike has continued to grow and I have a teeny new p-bulb forming way down in the bottom of the plant. Thanks for the help with it! Very nice! I love Burr. Nelly Isler. Mine did some pouting as well when it was switched to S/H, but after it decided to stop pouting, it really took off! One thing that I would be careful with on the oncidium-types is to not have too much water on the leaves; there are so many nooks and crannies, that it can get stuck in and cause rot- you don't need to invite problems to come knocking at your door....
