ZeroTol - Ready to Spray Male
Default ZeroTol - Ready to Spray

I just got this, comes in a 32oz container - and no instructions on how to use on houseplants, including orchids. I called the manufacturer and was advised to use 3 teaspoons per gallon of water.......as an fyi.
This is a fungicide/bactericide and its main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide.....and its organic.

Another tip - provided by a CSR. You can use OTC hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash ! ( at your own risk. I have yet to try this ). This came up because I asked what I should do with my solution as it quickly loses its efficacy once opened.

I dilute 10 ml of ZeroTol in 500 ml of water to make a solution that matches in strength what Oxidate (the ready to use spray bottle of the same material delivers). I use this after watering each plant, predominantly on the medium and the base of the plant because I want to control cyanobacteria/algae and maybe the development of some bacterial infections. This has been safe on all of my plants except for Pinguecula leaves! It also controls (doesn't eliminate) the algae growth.

FYI, Hydrogen Peroxide is safe to use as a mouthwash.

The Zero-Tol RTS is a hose end sprayer that dilutes the contents at 0.85 ounces per gallon. I have used that in my greenhouse about every 6 weeks for about two years.

The RTU (Ready To Use) version - a hand-held pump sprayer - is sold under the name Oxidate (I carry both).

It is much more dilute than OTC H2O2, but because it is stabilized with peroxyacetic acid, it stays active until it dries. Drugstore peroxide will decompose almost instantly.
