Default Snail party

With high humidity, these little buggers appear even during the day time.

I saw three of them sitting & snacking on one of my cattleyas' aerial root. They were quickly squeezed to death.

I placed some sliced carrots. I lifted it up 30 minutes later and this is what it looked like.

They all got squeezed right on their lunch plate too. haha

It's amazing how these little snails survive. They are very persistent.

I checked them almost every night last year and I thought I got rid of them when I did not see them any more but apparently they live inside the potting mix for a long time. possibly laying eggs in there eating my plants roots.

I should repot them all to "ease" off the snail load. lol

Is that yours?

I thought they eat only go for garden snails which are much larger than these tiny snails.

By the way, that snake is creepy.
No offense.

not mine. but yes you are right they eat the big escargot sized snails that havent evolved growing to the left yet. The snails fought back and started to grow the opposite direction where the snake cant dig them out with his specialized curved fangs

I think I would rather have the snails than snakes in my garden

I watch too much animal planet

OOOh, that snake is beautiful!
Snails are disgusting... and kind of cute with their little houses on the top.

Hello! I'm Nanuca. And as this is my very first post on OB, I apologise in advance if I post in the wrong place. I have to start somewhere, after all...and I'm quite interested in orchid pests and diseases. My question is: do you happen to know the name of that snail species on the carrot slice? I had them last year on one of my phals and don't know much about them.
