Yes, take it out of the wet weather. Let the affected area dry out, bacteria and fungi thrive in moisture!
And add alcohol (reduce water) to your mix.

I've dealt with this on dendrobiums a number of times and I think finally eradicated it in my collection a year ago. I'm fairly certain it's a bacteria. I treated it with spraying physan on the plants.
