Treat the wound with a fungicide, ground cinnamon, or such, and then isolate the plant, and hope for the best. What do the rest of you think?

Sure wouldn't hurt. I hate the blemishes on my 'chids, so I tend to cut them off, but others don't, so you may get a mixed reaction here.
