I tried the Aussie Gold last year after one of their reps spoke at our local meeting. Sounded wonderful! I shared the cost of one bag with my MIL to test it before buying enough for all the chids...and I am so glad that I did! Within a few weeks, the test plants were showing signs of rot and also had mold developing. Luckily, I caught it in time, treated the rot and mold problem and immediately moved those plants into something else. It's unfortunate that you bought so much...I know it's very expensive and their marketing schtick is untrue.
For root rot, cut away the bad roots and treat the rest...
for crown rot, I add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide or Listerine (the brown stuff, not minty)...leave it for a few minutes then dump it out and sprinkle with a little cinnamon. I've managed to save a few plants using this method. Once you've taken care of the problem, get the 'chids into something other than Aussie Gold.
