Hi all, I'm attaching pictures of some of my orchids who have started showing dark markings on their leaves. I've cut off the affected parts but it's still worrying me a little.

The ones affected weren't really near each other so I'm thinking it's not a fungus that's spreading, but I can't be sure, I've never had this happen before.

Could it be sunburn? They haven't been in the sun but I did get a very, very bright LED recently that I had for like 3 days and then sold in order to get a much weaker one, it really didn't produce much heat though. Is it possible for plants to get burned from bright light that isn't hot?

I've also noticed a few little critters around recently, I saw one tiny little snail and treated that plant with caffeine and repotted it in sterilized media. I put potato slices on some of my plants last night and picked them up this morning. Although I didn't see any snails like the one that I had found before, I did see tiny little dark somethings moving around on them. I don't have a microscope or even a magnifying glass so I couldn't tell what they were, do the small bush snails start out so tiny that all you can see are tiny black dots with the naked eye? I have no idea how fast they would move but I think they were moving faster than a snail would. I honestly don't know.

Anyway here are the pictures, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

This plant hadn't been doing well for a few months now, some of the older pbulbs and leaves had been shriveling. I only noticed the black splotches today.

A different plant with the same markings...

And another plant with black markings on the edges, I haven't cut those off yet, should I?

The first two look like bacterial rot to me. I can't really tell on the last one. This time of year is bad for black rot. Cool & moist = rot. If you have critters nibbling on the leaves bacterial infection can enter the leaf through the exposed tissue. Cut all the way back to healthy green tissue and seal with cinnamon.

Thanks Terri, it's so weird though because it's so dry inside my house but I cut them back and hopefully that'll be the end of it.
