Hi all, I'm attaching pictures of some of my orchids who have started showing dark markings on their leaves. I've cut off the affected parts but it's still worrying me a little.
The ones affected weren't really near each other so I'm thinking it's not a fungus that's spreading, but I can't be sure, I've never had this happen before.
Could it be sunburn? They haven't been in the sun but I did get a very, very bright LED recently that I had for like 3 days and then sold in order to get a much weaker one, it really didn't produce much heat though. Is it possible for plants to get burned from bright light that isn't hot?
I've also noticed a few little critters around recently, I saw one tiny little snail and treated that plant with caffeine and repotted it in sterilized media. I put potato slices on some of my plants last night and picked them up this morning. Although I didn't see any snails like the one that I had found before, I did see tiny little dark somethings moving around on them. I don't have a microscope or even a magnifying glass so I couldn't tell what they were, do the small bush snails start out so tiny that all you can see are tiny black dots with the naked eye? I have no idea how fast they would move but I think they were moving faster than a snail would. I honestly don't know.
Anyway here are the pictures, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
This plant hadn't been doing well for a few months now, some of the older pbulbs and leaves had been shriveling. I only noticed the black splotches today.
A different plant with the same markings...
And another plant with black markings on the edges, I haven't cut those off yet, should I?
