I just recieved a new plant in the mail, a huge Stanhopea bellearensis. Unfortunately somewhere in the few weeks between when I picked it out at the store, got back to my home state and organised for them to post it, it has become covered in black spots, many more than I would consider normal on a Stanhopea, it was quite clean when I saw it. The seller is usually very good and I'm in discussions with them, sending them some photos, etc so no hard feelings there but i just want to make sure it doesn't get any worse before things get sorted( I suspect it was moved to a different area of the nursery and then over watered by their other staff who don't usually care for the orchids). I have run out of the regular fungicide that I use and due to it being a holiday weekend and me being a long way out of town I can't get any more right now. I have in the cupboard some 3% peroxide, or I have 'Fongarid' which has Furalaxyl as the active ingredient but lists its use as being more for root and collar rot(pythium and Phytopthera infections). Would either of these help and if so how would you apply them?
