Vanda with bizarre yellow rings/spots

I bought this vanda over a year ago, and it has grow tons over the last summer, when it lived outside.

During the past summer, I noticed some yellowish flecks near the middle leaves, but I did not think too much of those flecks. Now, I noticed the flecks have morphed into larger yellow patches and...there's even a perfect bulls-eye ring. Some of the yellow patches turned into sunken dry brown areas. The patches appear on the middle 4-5 leaves, and are visible from both sides of the leaves.

I can rule out two factors:
-No cold damage
-No spider mites

I am considering doing a virus test if you guys feel the symptoms are suspicious. It looks sort of like pictures of orchid fleck virus I found online. I know if I send a sample to a lab, they can only test for CMV or ORSV, not the lesser known viruses, right?

It does look suspicious. It only costs $5.00 plus 2-day shipping cost to have Critter Creek Labs test for ORSV and CymMV. For another $4.50 they will also test for Bean Yellow Mosaic Virus.

It seems that it is more difficult to test for Orchid Fleck Virus. You cannot use an immunological assay like the Agdia Immunostrips or ELISA test. Instead you have to use a more complex PCR technique.

I could be wrong, but I think it looks more like fungus from insufficient air circulation. Just remember that if your test comes back positive, it doesn't necessarily indicate that those spots are from the virus. Good luck!

What kind of Vanda is it? The leaves look very dark like it needs more light. If it is just from being indoors, that is understandable. Just something to keep in mind.
