Default Vanda small flowers and different color

Hi, my friend has a problem with Vanda Sylvia Palmeri.
it was blooming 8 months ago and was very nice:



now blooming again but flowers are smaller and the color is very different:



plant looks very strong and healthy:



Any idea what could be the problem?

Its got humidity problems(when it is in spike boost the moisture and humidity=youre lucky you didnt have bud blast) and you must put it at the center of the window where it gets brighter light....adjust the wires of the other plant so all your Vandas can fit and share the window. Exchange the position of the Phal with the Vanda....that position where you put the Vanda is the ideal position for the Phal....

The adriatic sea provides you with humidity and moisture in the form of fog and thick clouds nowadays....

also, study vase culture it will be advisable for your grow zone or else you need to water that vanda everyday and twice a day on warmer months....

invest on electric heater, humidifier and small oscillating electric fan....

Vandas love warmth, humidity and bright light....

you may soak it weekly for 5 min in fertilizer alternated with seaweed mix

It looks to me like it is not done opening quite yet. Has the flower stopped opening? It might just need more time.

I agree with isurus. Most vandas will open fully and then the blooms will darken as they continue to expand larger. Just wait.
