I would repot ASAP into bark, but be careful not to put it in too big a pot, the roots like to be tight and that way they dry quicker which helps stop rot. I would possibly use some 1%-2% Hydrogen Peroxide on the base to try and stop whatever it is.

Thanks, Rosie! I used the Hydrogen Peroxide and the base seems to be doing okay. I did notice some more black spots on the underside of the leaves and a black spot with a ring around it

I don't believe the ring was there when I received the plant, but I'll have to check my pictures. Would this be a fungal or bacterial spot??
Also, I repotted it into a classic orchid bark mixture and am trying not to overwater it.
